Keeping Our Seniors Safe from COVID-19

COVID-19

Safety Protocols

We are strictly adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the California Department of Social Services and the CDC.

We will continue to practice safety precautions to ensure that we are doing all that we can to keep our clients and our caregivers healthy and safe.

The following are guidelines that we have implemented and will continue to follow:

bullet1
Our alcohol-based hand sanitizer is near the door for use by those who enter.
bullet1
We will be doing temperature checks for ALL caregivers and clients prior to entry in order to prevent the entrance of any persons with elevated temperatures.
bullet1
Physical distance of at least six (6) feet from each other will be maintained when possible, and direct physical contact will be avoided (unless it is necessary for care).
bullet1

Caregivers will wear a mask when providing personal assistance for our clients, and gloves when handling soiled items.

bullet1
Everyone will hand wash with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds.
bullet1
We will clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces and objects more often.
bullet1
We will avoid close contact with people who appear to have flu symptoms.
bullet1

In strict adherence with our prior sick policy, we have our caregivers stay home if they have any symptoms of illness— including a slightly elevated temperature.

We will remind people to use “cough etiquette,” i.e. to cover the mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue when coughing and sneezing, and to immediately use hand sanitizer or wash their hands afterward.
